Signs of cockroach infestations include:
Droppings
Cockroach droppings may be found on surfaces or products and are black and gritty in consistency, often left in a trail. Look for them around machinery, pallets, in cupboards and on factory and office floors.
Musky odour
Cockroaches emit a musky odour, and this is more easily noticeable when there’s a large infestation. The smell will be particularly pungent in confined areas, including warehouses, disused machinery, storage, amenities, cupboards, etc.
Egg sacs
Cockroaches may deposit small egg sacs in quiet corners or remote spaces, favouring warm areas such as motors, so check around machinery and equipment.
Grease/smear marks
When cockroaches are in transit, they leave behind visible stains on surfaces, so if you spot these on walls, or floors, then it’s a sign that live cockroaches are in the area.
